Meet Our Team

Dr. Mark Berman

Dr Berman is a graduate of University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He has been practicing dentistry for 30 years and is celebrating his 30th year of serving the Macomb County Community. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Macomb Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Dr Berman has a passion for creating beautiful smiles and makes his patients a part of his family. He has enjoyed treating his patients from their youth and is now treating their children! His dentistry is not just about caring for your teeth but building lasting relationships.

Kathy, Hygienist

Kathy has been practicing hygiene in Dr. Berman's practice for 28 years and is a past president of Macomb District Dental Hygienist Society. She has been a member of American Dental Hygienist Association since graduation. Kathy has been an intricate part of Dr. Berman's practice, developing long term relationships with her patients.

Kathy has 2 children and 6 grandchildren! Kathy enjoys spending time at her cottage on Bois Blanc Island, Michigan.

Ann, Hygienist

Ann is a graduate of Ferris State and has been practicing with Dr. Berman since her graduation 15 years ago. She builds long lasting relationships with her patients and Ann's warm, easy going personality puts all of her patients at ease.

Ann enjoys time with her husband and her 7-year old son and 3-year old daughter.

Jackie, Hygienist

Jackie attended University of Detroit-Mercy and joined Dr. Berman's office immediately upon graduation as she was a patient of Dr. Berman's since childhood. Jackie's warm smile and compassion make her patient's dental visits a pleasure.

Jackie and her husband just welcomed a baby boy to their family.

Teri, Clinical Assistant

Having spent her entire 22 year career with Dr. Berman, Teri has a true handle on not only our patient's clinical treatment; but every area of Dr. Berman's office. Teri is a highly skilled clinical assistant that provides excellent patient care. If you have a question about your dental treatment, Teri is always willing to help!

Teri is a sports fanatic and her sense of humor keeps our patient’s visits to the dental office enjoyable.

Shawn, Clinical Assistant

Shawn has been in dentistry for 26 years, is a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant with extensive experience in General Dentistry. Her educational background includes 3 years at University of Detroit School of Dentistry. She shares Dr. Berman’s passion for cosmetic dentistry and changing people’s lives. Shawn’s patience and dedication to our patients is evident with every patient she encounters.

Shawn loves animals, she and her husband have not only opened their home to many dogs and cats that have been in need of a loving home but have also devoted countless hours to our local animal shelters.

Janet, Office Manager

Janet has 32 years of dental office experience, with 27 years of those years serving as an office manager. Janet is a highly talented, dedicated and skilled office manager. She applies that knowledge to provide a very efficient and organized office. Janet's specialty is assisting patients to achieve their dental goals.

Janet and her husband have a son at Western Michigan University. She enjoys reading, camping and spending time with her family.

Shelly, Insurance Coordinator

With 20 years of experience in the dental field, Shelly brings her knowledge of both clinical and front desk experience to help our patients maximize their dental benefits. Shelly is always up for the challenge that is presented by the insurance carriers. If you have any questions regarding your insurance benefits, Shelly is the one who can get you the answers!

Shelly has a husband and two young daughters that keep her joyfully busy during her time off work!

Elena, Patient Coordinator

From scheduling your appointment and greeting you warmly upon your arrival, Elena strives to make your visit pleasant and comfortable. Elena has 29 years experience in the dental field and will gladly work with you to help you achieve your dental goals.

Elena spends what free time is available with her husband, two sons and future daughter-in-law. Elena’s oldest son has a wedding planned for 2010 while her youngest will be graduating High School in the same year!

Lynn, Patient Coordinator

Lynn has been happily working in the dental field for over 30 years. Her experience has taken her from chair-side assisting, to the dental lab, to the dental front office. Lynn's positive attitude and agreeable nature brightens our patient's visit.

Lynn enjoys traveling, especially to attend her son's musical performances at Western Michigan University. She travels with her cocker spaniel Riley who loves car rides!

Kelsey, Administrative Assistant

Kelsey started with Dr. Berman’s office for as a Co-op student almost 2 years ago. She has since graduated high school and Dr. Berman is pleased she has stayed on with his office. Kelsey is a full-time student at Oakland University and is focusing her studies on Health Care. Kelsey’s duties are many, from greeting patients when they come into our office, keeping care of patient charts, seating patients as well as helping out with sterilization. Her new projects involve researching patient education articles for our websites and our social networks.

Kelsey’s favorite time spent is with her family, especially her younger brother and sister, bingo with her mom and traveling.
